George Parker had decided to launch a cold storage contracting company. But it wasn’t long before he shifted his course. He had spent his career in the construction industry. He knew there was a hole to fill.
George spent the next four decades building a team of experts and a network of relationships across the construction industry. He became the go-to source for FRP in Houston and beyond. And at the age of 85, he decided it was time to pass the reins. It was a decision that led him to Lance Redmon and his father, Paul.
The father/son team was looking for a venture to embark on together. Lance, a former pastor, had spent years in building management. His father, Paul, was an engineer and a founder of Mustang Engineering. They share a passion for business and, most importantly, people. They found both in SBS.
In 2018, George officially passed the reins to Lance and Paul — but not without agreeing to offer his ongoing wisdom and expertise. It’s part of the SBS commitment to putting people first. They are our greatest asset, our edge in a competitive marketplace. And we value them above all else.
